Here's an interesting new lighting system, the Fibre Flare, which won a 2009 Eurobike award. Instead of a blinking light it's a pulsing luminescent tube using fiber optics (the wacky Europeans spell that fibre), visible up to 180º and can be combined with the company's SideLights for more visibility.
